Ultra-thing prefabricated panel with high structural performance, achieving thicknesses as low as 25 mm. The  Formex® Panel has great mechanical strength, high impact resistance, high rigidity, very high durability, easy handling and high-quality finishes.

Fixing to other elements is guaranteed depending of the needs of the application and the cliente. The most typical connections being bolted, welded and cast in place.

USES

The most common uses so far for large-format Formex® panels:

FIBER

Fiber plays a decisive role in the strength and final aesthetics of Formex® Panels . Their type, quantity and geometry depend on each specific application and they can achieve characteristic residual flexural strengths  (f_R1,k f_R3,k) of between 12.5 – 16.5 MPa.

The following figures present tables for the design of raised access floors with a Formex® Panel with a design flexural strength of 12 MPa and a deflection limitation of L/400. Two support conditions are shown: on two edges or on four edges. For a maximum transport width of 2.45 m and different spans, the maximum design live load and required thickness are indicated.

Higher capacities are always possible for each thickness by combining fiber reinforcement with steel bars.
